COVID-19 RT-PCR tests for International Travelers

Traveling during the pandemic can be very stressful and complicated.  Since July 2020, PCL has provided COVID-19 RT-PCR tests for travelers to more than 96 countries. We provide full, detailed reports containing all the necessary elements required for departure. 

PCL follows-up to ensure all patients receive their results in an encrypted and secure process.  Result Reports are emailed same day and next day, we also provide printed reports at our location for pick up. We accept both walk-ins and appointments. 

Most countries require a negative Reverse Transcription-Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) test from travelers before arrival. The State Department website lists COVID-19 testing requirements for international travelers, searchable by destination country. Please check with your embassy for the latest information.

RT-PCR tests detect active infection at the exact time you take the test.  To minimize the chance of travelers becoming contagious in the days following testing, airlines and destination countries set guidelines as to how close to your departure date you must take your test.

Formal laboratory reports are typically required for international travel.  Our lab reports will include: 

• Full name as listed on passport
• Date of birth and Gender
• Type of test (i.e. Rt PCR) and description of methods used
• Test result (i.e. NEGATIVE)
• Date and time of sample collection
• Date and time of result report
• Passport Number (Included upon request)
• Lab technologist signature (ink signed upon request)
• Name of physician
• Verification of laboratory licensure (CLIA ID)
• Details of Testing site
